Buhari Reacts To The Rape And Murder Of Uwaila Omozuwa




The President Muhammadu Buhari sends his condolences to the family and friends of Uwaila Omozuwa, who was allegedly raped and murdered on Friday 29th May near Ikpoba Hill in Benin City, at her church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).




The victim, a 22 years old 100 level student of the University of Benin, from the department of Microbiology, faculty of Life Sciences was said to have gone to her church to study her books in preparation for resumption of school after the shutdown of schools due to coronavirus pandemic.




The President has also urged the Nigerian Police Force to do everything possible to investigate and bring the perpetrators of this evil act to justice.




According to his tweets;

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Uwaila Omozuwa. I expect the Nigeria Police Force to speedily and diligently investigate this case and ensure that all the culprits responsible for this barbaric act are brought to justice.
